Broadway Dance Troupe (Ages 10-12) Sundays 11:45am – 12:45pm
Musical Theatre Dance is a jazz-based class filled with Broadway style dancing and music. Classes will incorporate a variety of dance styles seen on stage. This form of dancing emphasizes learning performance skills such as connecting with the audience and facial expressions. All classes take place at The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati (4015 Red Bank Rd.)

Shelby Coleman
Teacher
Shelby has a background in theatre education and dance that has led her across the country. She is the Education Director at Stage Right MTC Inc and most recently was the Director of Artistic and Educational Programs with the Surry Arts Council in North Carolina where she directed, choreographed, designed and taught for students throughout North Carolina and Virginia. While there, Shelby was the founder and instructor of a dance studio specializing in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, West African, clogging, flat foot, musical theatre and pre-pointe. Shelby has a background in teaching students diagnosed with various physical, mental, and learning disabilities. As the creator of the Special Friends Program in North Carolina, she spear-headed the implementation of the arts as a support for furthering social, emotional and LifeSkills learning for Exception Children classrooms and Post K-12 LifeSkills groups throughout the state. Shelby has taught at various institutes across the country including Lexington Children's Theatre, Shooting Stars YouTheatre, Missoula Children's Theatre, StageRight MTC Inc, Morehead State University, Surry Community College, Surry Arts Council, Ryle High School, Surry County Schools, Milennium Charter Academy, Cincinnati Public Schools, Boone County Public Libraries, Kenton County Public Libraries, Grant County Public Libraries and now The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati.
