Angelo Cerniglia
Education Director

Angelo Cerniglia

Education Director

With a focus on strengthening the already indisputable reputation of TCT, Angelo brings with him the belief that an education through the arts helps to create a more complete person.  By creating a catalog of robust courses in the fine arts and extending the reach of TCT’s mission throughout the community, he aims to serve as many young artists as possible and provide opportunities to learn and grow through the arts.

Angelo has been so fortunate to work with some of the most talented professionals in the field and incredibly gifted young artists all over the country.  He is a contributing author in the first musical theatre education textbook, the iTheatrics Method, and piloted several new works with M.T.I. such as Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR., and Xanadu JR.

In 2017, Angelo was chosen as one of seven arts educators of the year and was the recipient of M.T.I.’s The Freddie G Teaching Award.  However, he is most proud of his art inclusion work with Hilton Head Island School for the Creative Arts and the introduction of an arts focused public school under the S.T.E.A.M. model.

He received his B.F.A. from Shenandoah Conservatory in Theatre for Youth Education and his M. Ed. in Integrated Teaching through the Arts and Curriculum Design from Lesley University.

In her time at BGSU she gained training and experience working at two daycare / preschool centers. Miranda became a full-time nanny through the pandemic and gained training and experience working at Learning Grove as a preschool teacher in a Montessori style classroom. You may remember her from before our in-person shut down when she taught classes, voice lessons, and summer camps part time here at TCT!

Miranda has received training and her teaching certificate for Postnatal Yoga classes from Awakened Spirit Yoga. Which can be used for yoga classes and “mommy and me” style yoga classes. Miranda likes to stay up to date herself; she will forever be a student. Her foundational thought to her teaching philosophy is, “How much can I love these students with the time I have with them?” Her goals are to create a safe environment for students to explore, experience, and enjoy! She is a proud educator who shares her love of theatre arts to her students, and to the families who support them.
