TCT AcademyLive! – Disney’s Jungle Book KIDS! (Ages 6-11) Mondays & Wednesdays 4:30pm – 6:30pm
TCT is a professional theatre company and here is when YOU can take the stage. This class combines instruction with the opportunity to perform in a fully-staged musical with props, costumes, and sets. Our curriculum combines instruction with “doing,” to best help your student internalize and master the theater skills taught. To complement and reinforce the learning process, students will also spend time rehearsing for their theater production that culminates in public performances.
This opportunity features 2-hour classes twice a week.
Are you ready to put on an entire show in FIVE WEEKS?! In just five weeks, young performers will audition, rehearse, and perform an entire musical with lights, set pieces, and cast t-shirts with costume accessories! This experience is an excellent opportunity for a performer who is ready to put their talents towards practical use AND for the performer seeking an introduction in how to put an entire show. No pre-audition required. Every student enrolled will have a part in the show! Auditions will take place on the first day. All material for the audition will be taught at TCT on the first day of class! We will have 2 public shows at TCT on the last day of rehearsal. Each performer will receive 3 comp tickets and have the option to purchase additional tickets if desired. Performers will also receive a cast shirt, and a digital link of their filmed performance.
All students enrolling MUST have black jazz shoes (no laces) and black jazz or athletic pants with no logo or writing on them at the beginning of the class.

Angelo Cerniglia, Education Director
Teacher
Angelo Cerniglia has served as the Education Director of TCT since 2019. He graduated from Shenandoah Conservatory, B.F.A.: Theatre for Youth, and Lesley University - M.Ed. Arts Integration and Curriculum Design. He's a proud recipient of the Freddie G Spirit Award and has had the privilege of sharing his love for the arts by working with talented students from coast to coast for 16 years! As a Cincinnati transplant, he quickly grew to love the Queen City and has made it his home with his partner, Paul, and their two old grumpy little dogs. Helping TCT's education department grow by providing platforms for gifted young performers to obtain high-caliber access to training and performance opportunities is a dream come true. The AcademyLIVE! program, created in 2021, produces 3 fully realized musicals for an all-youth cast to perform each year, in addition to full course offerings through the Academy. The success of these programs gave way to our award-winning Junior Theatre Festival Team, which attends an international theater conference that focuses on bringing together students to share their love for musical theatre and to perform a musical excerpt for adjudication! From teaching classes to bringing a show to life, there is always time to instill invaluable knowledge of the arts, impart technique and terminology, and create a space for all to thrive! Looking to the future, he hopes to continuously bring new offerings and opportunities into each season while fostering an on-going excellence in the arts.
