Kim Kern’s 26 years of experience in the nonprofit world have led her to live by and enthusiastically model the following statement, “Would those of you who say it can’t be done please get out of the way of those of us who are doing it.” Kim strives to create a family-first workplace culture that is inclusive, growth-oriented and focused on positivity – yet if you choose to speak to her before she has had her morning coffee you do so at your own risk.
Chad enjoys working with creative people, and he has worked in the non-profit world of arts organizations and the for-profit world of advertising agencies for most of the last twenty years.
Miranda was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio and now lives across the river in Northern Kentucky. When she is not here working her dream job, she can be found spending time with her friends and family with her husband, traveling on adventures, or at home snuggling their two cats: Casper and Ashes. She will forever have a dream of being a Disney princess. Things that make her happy are baby ducks, driving through Mike’s car wash, receiving mail, and drinking Biggby coffee. She can also do an impressive duck call.
Angelo hales from the Sunshine State and is thrilled to call Cincy his home. He’s the proud Dad of two precious fur babies, and too many house plants. He’s best known for his office supply invention of post-its (“they’re the little yellow things with the stickum on the back”).
After nearly a decade of sharing theatre across the country, Shelby is thrilled to return to her roots of Northern Kentucky. She has spent the last five years hiking and creating theatre in North Carolina. Shelby and her rescue pup, Ollie, cannot wait to experience hiking in Ohio and eat enough Skyline to make up for lost years. She likes TLC reality shows and cheese.
Originally from Portsmouth, Ohio, Bailey is excited to bring her Appalachian roots to the Queen City! Her theatre journey began with dance classes at age 3 and the starring role of Toto in The Wizard of Oz at age 6. Ever since then, she has been involved in the arts in one way or another and discovered her passion for children’s theatre along the way. Although she found her true calling behind the scenes, Bailey still loves attempting to sing her favorite show tunes in the comfort (and privacy) of her car.
Olivia grew up in vast woodlands of Southwestern Ohio, traipsing through the forest and definitely not getting lost. She discovered her love of the stage at age 8 at her first choir concert. Today, she prefers to be behind the scenes building and color-coding spreadsheets. When she is not creating ever more elaborate Excel formulas, she can be found tucked away in a bookstore reading fantasy books or writing her own novel.
Curtricia is a huge foodie from Houston, TX & enjoys spending time with her husband and their two daughters. She believes any time with family, food, fun, & lots of reality tv is a good time!
Cal Harris has lived most of his life in Cincinnati and is a proud comic book nerd. If he’s not watching superhero movies he’s most likely spending time with his cats or one of the many backyard critters he’s currently feeding.
Growing up in Massachusetts, Isabel took every opportunity to be onstage through her school years in chorus, showchoir, and drama club. She spent the last few years creating magical memories for guests at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, and fell in love with theatre again while opening the box office of Cirque du Soleil’s Drawn to Life. She enjoys a good workout class, a slightly spicy ramen bowl, and playing tourist in the Queen City. An avid reader, she always has at least 5 books checked out from the library, but her reading chair is consistently stolen by her tuxedo cat, Chief. If the moment is right, you might catch her on the mic again at a local karaoke night, but she prefers to sing from the crowd at a concert.
Krista grew up on the west side of Cincinnati, which means she still lives on the west side of Cincinnati. She dreams to one day perform a one-woman rendition of Poltergeist. Brach’s candy corn is her ultimate weakness, and she’s celebrating 24 years with TCT this year.
Grant has called Cincinnati home his whole life, more specifically the west side. His upbringing in theatre began with dressing up as Peter Pan each year for Halloween (the best holiday) and watching The Wizard of Oz on a constant loop until the VHS broke. When he is away from his natural habitat, the box office, Grant can be found badgering his friend into becoming pen pals because “there is something so nostalgic about receiving real mail.”
Pam is a native of Cincinnati. She has worked at The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati since 2006. Before that she raised her 5 children. She enjoys spring, summer and fall! Cincinnati winters seem to have gotten longer!
An Ohio native, Adam grew up watching his family in local productions and soon joined them wherever he could- both on and offstage. While he loved performing, he always found himself marveling at the props table and all the magical things that made stories come to life. But there is a cardinal rule when acting: “Don’t touch other people’s props.” Flash forward a few years and he’s found a way around that rule; now they’re all his props!
Maddie Burgoon Jones was born, raised, and lives on the west side of Cincinnati (which is obviously the best side to live). Despite her five-foot-one stature and obvious lack of height, Maddie still dreams of magically growing 8 inches to become a Rockette- or even better- one of Beyonce’s backup dancers.
Julie Cowger has been a part of the entertainment industry for nearly two decades, working as a designer, crew member, performer, creative director, consultant, manager – you name it. She prides herself on her well-rounded view of the industry and aims to infuse that experience, and the empathy that comes with it, into everything she does. She recently relocated from Los Angeles and loves getting to spend time in the beautiful nature surrounding Cincinnati. Her degree is in Music (Opera Performance more specifically), but no, unfortunately she won’t go to karaoke with you.
London has spent the past few years doing scenic artistry for theaters from coast to coast and is thrilled to come back to the Cincinnati area! When she isn’t painting for The Children’s Theatre, she’s most likely adventuring with her cat, Iris, making friends with strangers, and probably still painting.
Maggie was born and raised in Chicagoland and her love for children’s theatre has brought her a few hundred miles south for the past six years. She’s excited to continue that journey in Cincinnati and explore a new town and a new theatre. Her love for storytelling can only be rivaled with consuming stories themselves in any form, large fluffy animals, and sweets. Lots and lots of sweets.
Alix Frisch is a transplant from New Jersey who is still trying to lose her Jersey accent. She hopes to see her children happy and successful and living elsewhere so she can live her dream of being a shut-in with the help of Amazon.com.
Dani grew up in Northern Illinois playing on (and behind the) stage and the soccer field. Dani loves teaching and working in technical theatre and presenting shows for young audiences. If you can’t find her, she is probably with her dog, Cricket. She loves chocolate and coffee and has made it a goal to zip line on every continent (Antarctica is going to be hard).
Andrew is a Technical Theatre professional and has earned an M.F.A. in Theatrical Design and Production from the University of Arizona. He has worked professionally in Orlando, Chicago, Utah, Arizona, Kentucky, Ohio, Central Illinois, and California. He spends his free time doting on his dog, Leonard, and his cat, Lulu.
Kendall was born and raised in San Francisco, made a b-line for New York upon her college graduation, and eventually landed in Cincinnati. She has worked in ballet, opera, and Broadway costuming and is thrilled to add children’s theater to that list. She enjoys the outdoors, watching cartoons, and after 5 years has come around to Cincinnati-style chilli.
