Macy’s Brings The Velveteen Rabbit Digital Production to Local Community Programs

By The Children's Theatre
Students at Boys and Girls Club enjoy The Velveteen Rabbit during an after school program

Thanks to the generosity of Macy’s as the Digital Production Sponsor, kids at local community agencies were able to enjoy the digital production of The Velveteen Rabbit for free over the last few months. TCT appreciates Macy’s helping to spread our mission of The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati: To educate, entertain, and engage audiences of all ages through professional theatrical productions and arts education programming! Macy’s funding has not only supported the production, filming, and editing expenses related to producing The Velveteen Rabbit and streaming it online via Broadway on Demand, but it also enabled TCT to provide access codes to local children’s agencies at no charge providing access to underserved children such as Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCA, Bethany House. Read on to see how this generous support has affected local students:

They loved that the Velveteen Rabbit story is 99 years old! And they loved how Toy Story pays homage to the Velveteen Rabbit and toys become real.
